Jeep Safari in Corbett National Park

Jim Corbett National Park is the oldest national park in Uttarakhand state. Jim Corbett National Park is like a heaven for the adventure seekers and wildlife lovers. Corbett world famous for its flora, fauna, hills area, marshy depressions, grass lands and large lake.

Famous Jeep Safari Zone at Corbett- Tourism activity is allowed in some selected areas of Corbett Tiger Reserve so that people get an opportunity to see its top-drawer landscape and the diverse wildlife. Jim Corbett National Park distributes its core area in four famous Safari Zone. Each area serves different travel purposes and has unique attributes. They are Dhikala, Bijrani, Jhirna and Durgadevi.

Some rule and regulation- Some rules and regulations for visitor ruled by Corbett Tiger Reserve (CTR) to save human and wildlifeanimals. It must followed by every tourist. Any one can’t go inside the jungle without CTR permission. Once inside the Jungle do not get down of your vehicle or walk in areas you are not permitted to do so. Beware as you are in Tiger Area. Only 25 to 30 vehicles go inside the jungle at a time. It’s compulsory to take a guide for visit into jungle area. Animals are extremely sensitive to the human voice. Don’t make a noise, don’t play music and don’t blow the horn.

Dhikala- Dhikala Zone entry is through Dhangarhi Gate which opens 15 November to 15 June. It is the most popular tourism zone in Jim Corbett National Park. Dhikala offers to see Wild Elephants, Tigers, Chital, Hog deer and numerous grassland bird species and raptors.

Bijrani- Bijrani is hot favorite safari zone now days, due to the lots of tiger sighting. It’s amazing and beautiful landscapes also make it very famous amongst the others.  Bijrani Forest Zone entry is through Amdanda Gate which is 3 Kms far from the min Ramnagar market. Bijrani offers the great opportunity to the various wild animals like tiger, wild elephants, black bear, wild boar, all species of dears, birds etc.

Jhirna- This is the only gate which opens for 12 month. Jhirna safari zoneis use the Kalagarh gate to visit Jhirna wildlife area. This area is surrounded by deep forest and offers to excellent wildlife animals sightings.

Durgadevi- Durgadevi gate is use to visit the Durgadevi wildlife area.  This area is famous for birds watching, fishing and different floras.

Jeep Safari Timing- Jeep Safari timings are changed according to the season summer and winter. In winter jeep safari start early in the morning 7:00 am to 9:30 and evening at 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. In summer time safari start in morning 6:00 am to 9:00 am and evening 3:00 pm to 6:30pm.

Best Time for Jeep Safari- The best time for Jeep Safari at Corbett is in between ends of October to June. In this season new floras are taking places and fauna visits around the area.
